Michelle Tripp – My work takes a new language of nets, linksets, SLURL, shadow prim, build by numbers, copy; and transfers it into real objects.I studied at Teesside University B.A. Fine Art, M.A.Future Arts. I have exhibited extensively since 1999 in places as diverse as the Gulbenkian Theatre Newcastle,The Hemispherium, Teesside University, the AV Festival, Newcastle, Sunderland and Middlesbrough, Private Islands, in Second Life.
Dave Allinson – Much of my research is carried out online with biannual visits to the Ars Electronica digital arts festival in Austria providing a rich resource of current trends and critical thinking in new media. The digital archive permanently on show there charts the sharp rise and pace at which technology has moved and has been absorbed into global culture. I have begun to reflect upon and evaluate my own history, utilising a more powerful toolset to revisit and focus on some of the areas of my work giving new context, definition and visibility to hidden properties and meaning, buried within the work.
