This one-day event in November 2009 hosted by blimey! featured 15 artists who responded to the theme of ‘social’. It took place in Darlington Railway Institute, and the event saw artists both showing and making work, and was curated by James Lowther.
Highlights of the day included contemporary poetry performance and an art auction, where donated artworks went under the hammer.

Thanks to everyone who took part in blimey! social, including artists, performers, auctioneers and visitors, thanks also to The Railway Institute for letting us turn their function rooms into an arts space for the day. A special thanks to all the artists who donated work to our auction, which was a huge success and a very exciting part of the evening.
