Cultural Conversation comes to Darlo

Following on from several other ‘cultural conversation’ events taking place across Tees Valley, the latest event will take place in D’ton Arts Centre. Further info below from the organisers –

Cultural Conversations Teesside Saturday 21st April 12pm – 4pm Free Event

In our next (and Cultivate’s last) Cultural Conversation in Teesside, we’re teaming up with Darlington For Culture and hosting the event alongside their fantastic sounding ‘A Right Royal Do’ Art Fair at Darlington Arts Centre.
We’ve been busy stirring the pot in Teesside these last months, helping to identify and stimulate interest in a Teesside-wide network of creatives, doers, makers, web monkeys, venues, public sector workers, designers, DJs, transport operators (you get the idea everybody).
So far so good, but our pilot is nearly at its end. So along with coming along to discuss matters of importance, find likeminded people and get stuff happening, we’re particularly keen to identify who might wish to continue developing the network.
Furthermore we’d love to see a website represent the region’s  wealth of arts, culture, and overall amazing creativity we’ve come in to contact in Teesside. Is there an appetite for something like this to tell your story to each other& the outside world. Do come along if you’d like to work something up, the Arts Council are keen to hear from you, and offer support in developing a Grant for the arts proposal.
The theme that we ask at every Cultural Conversation takes the questions:
  • What do you want to see more of     in your town and Teesside?
  • What part do you want to play     in making it happen?
  • Who do you know that can help     get you there?
